New Build House, Resin Drive, Orpington

New Build House in Orpington
True Grip were contacted by a longstanding client/landscaper who we have worked with for many years. The brief was, the landscaper would install all the edges to the drive, then we would excavate, install sub-base, macadam and resin. However, the house owner had already moved in, and this may pose a problem with access for them.
The team excavated the area, adjusted existing inspections chambers and installed new inspection chambers. Installed 150mm depth of granular sub-base then 70mm thick depth of AC 10mm close surf 100/150 macadam all this whist still maintaining clean access for the owner by use of boards to the entrance. Once the macadam was installed the owner could use the drive after a couple of days to walk and drive on before the resin installation.
Now came the tricky part to this installation, as the owner had no other way of access to the property apart from through the frontage. After much deliberation, from the removal of hedges to the owner staying in for a couple of days, while the resin cured, the simple solution was the owner decided to go on holiday for a week and thankfully the weather held out to install in just one day. Allowing the resin plenty of time to set and cure. When the owner came back from holiday they could drive straight on to the finished drive and were over the moon.
True Grip laid 198m2 of Addagrip UV Stonebound 6mm Lucerne Silver at 18mm thick.
