Addagrip approved contractor True Grip Ltd was asked to provide a surfacing solution for the grounds of a private sports complex in St George’s Hill, Surrey. The requirement was for a hard wearing, attractive but natural looking surface for the sports complex’s paths and adjoining access roads. True Grip put forward Addagrip’s innovative new surfacing system, Terrabase Rustic, which provides a rustic looking, porous paving that can be installed without the need for an asphalt or concrete base.

A total of 1,000m2 of Terrabase Rustic Gold was installed in two phases. The footpaths were a challenging installation due to the severe gradients and distances around the site. The Terrabase Rustic for these footpaths was laid directly onto an MOT sub base to the new site and directly onto a self-binding loose gravel to the paths to the existing house. To accommodate the relaying of a tennis court surface, the newly installed Terrabase Rustic had to withstand 2 ton dumper vehicle traffic whilst the work on the court was completed.

The 1,000sqm installation was finished on time with minimum disruption, despite the poor summer weather.
