True Grip were contacted via their web site by the client of this beautiful house in Godstone. The client wanted to upgrade the existing very old and deteriorated tar and chip macadam driveway to bring it in line with the extensive landscaping that had been finished to the rear of the property. The recommendation came from a contractor who worked in the rear garden, and he had seen our team on a site he was working at and was impressed with what he saw. True Grip carried out a thorough survey including excavating trial holes to determine the build-up of the existing drive. The survey proved that there was a sufficient granular sub-base underneath the macadam. The perimeter edgings had been installed to a good standard, so these didn’t need replacing. The client was shown many samples of what could be applied and chose Addagrip Terrabase Rustic Cove. True Grip stripped the existing macadam surface and cleared the residue off site. The existing granular sub-base was compacted with a vibrating roller to expose any soft or weak areas. The granular sub-base was increased where required and the complete area had 40mm of limestone 6mm-10mm capping layer installed to bring up the levels to where the macadam had been.

True Grip laid 322m2 of Addagrip Terrabase Rustic Cove 35mm thick over a two-day period.
