CASE STUDY: Sports Complex, St Georges Hill
Addagrip approved contractor True Grip Ltd was asked to provide a surfacing solution for the grounds of a private sports complex in St George’s Hill, Surrey. The requirement was for a hard wearing, attractive but natural looking surface for the sports complex’s paths and adjoining access roads. True Grip put forward Addagrip’s innovative new surfacing system, Terrabase Rustic, which provides a rustic looking, porous paving that can be installed without the need for an asphalt or concrete base.
A total of 1,000m2 of Terrabase Rustic Gold was installed in two phases. The footpaths were a challenging installation due to the severe gradients and distances around the site. The Terrabase Rustic for these footpaths was laid directly onto an MOT sub base to the new site and directly onto a self-binding loose gravel to the paths to the existing house. To accommodate the relaying of a tennis court surface, the newly installed Terrabase Rustic had to withstand 2 ton dumper vehicle traffic whilst the work on the court was completed.
The 1,000sqm installation was finished on time with minimum disruption, despite the poor summer weather.
CASE STUDY: Wessex Haven Breast Cancer Charity
The Haven’s garden is an integral part of the Wessex Haven. It provides a calm place to sit, relax and chat with other visitors. Designed by Sarah Eberle who won the Gold and People’s Choice Award for The Haven’s Artisan Garden at this year's Chelsea Flower Show, it was important that the surface fitted with the warm, natural look and feel of the garden. As part of the design, Sarah specified a resin bound Terrabase Rustic surfacing for the pathway and courtyard area.
Addagrip approved contractor True Grip, who installed the surfacing, was able to negotiate the intricacies of the layout to install the beautiful Terrabase Rustic bound paving in a Rustic Tweed blend. The larger 6-10mm stone size provides a very natural looking porous surfacing finish which is comfortable underfoot and aesthetically pleasing. It is low maintenance, requiring no sweeping and can be power washed if required to keep it looking pristine.
CASE STUDY: Help The Heroes
Newcomer Matthew’s Keightley (29), of Maidenhead-based building and landscaping firm Farr and Roberts scooped the prestigious People’s Choice award for his debut ‘Hope on the Horizon’ garden, designed in aid of Help for Heroes at the world famous RHS Chelsea Flower Show 2014. The garden has been relocated to Chavasse VC House Recovery Centre, Colchester. True Grip Ltd installed Addagrip’s Terrabase Tuff Base to the foot paths. The Terrabase is a unique patented path and driveway system that can be laid directly onto a gravel sub base or just earth in some circumstances with minimal sub base construction and is totally SUDS compliant.
CASE STUDY: Hampton Court
It’s a Silver-Gilt for the Just Retirement garden - The Just Retirement garden, designed by Jack Dunckley, the youngest competitor in this year’s RHS Hampton Court Palace Flower Show, has been awarded a coveted RHS Silver Gilt Medal. True Grip Ltd Installed Addagrip Terrabase Tuff Base directly onto the gravel sub base to the foot path.

CASE STUDY: Manor House
Kent 1,220m2 Addabound 6mm Rustic Bronze For a prominent member of the House of Lords who tirelessly works for charity and education wanted to upgrade the driveway, front court yard and rear courtyard to his residence. Addagrip Addabound 6mm Rustic Bronze was chosen as the finish project. Colin Belton of Creative Landscape and Design Ltd appointed True Grip to install the Addabound and a section of Addastone to a very steep drive leading to the estate manager’s lodge. Creative Landscapes removed all the existing macadam surface and edgings. New macadam and granite edgings were installed to allow for the Addabound to be installed providing a porous substrate which is easily clean and low maintenance.
